Love Hard and Forgive Fast

It's so much pain and hurt that goes on ,but the disagreements and misunderstandings are never discussed.  This causes grudges to be held for years. Most times when there is a wedge between family members, there is also separation and no communication.  What causes so much rivalry amongst siblings, cousins, aunts, grandparents,  and parents?  Family members can be in such competition with each other because of a generational thing. Many will become so distracted on what the other have that it consumes their love for one another.  Siblings sometimes fall out because of just a small thing, and then show up at events and not even speak.  They will allow a childish and selfish thing to take away the enjoyment of family time. People shun themselves from their family, because of feeling like the black

Grandparents Love Your Grandkids Equally

I mean really, who doesn't like sweet babies?  They usually spend a ton of money trying to help the parents prepare for his or her arrival.  The strict parents some of us once knew have turned soft, and the grandkids have them wrapped around their fingers. Unfortunately, all children don't receive this love that is so special to many. I am not sure how someone can mistreat a child that has the same blood as them. There are many reasons such as not liking one of the parents, the color of their skin, and many other ridiculous whys.   An innocent child should not be involved in adults conflicts. There shouldn't be any grandparent that wants to mistreat or disregard a child, that will one day realize that he or she didn't want to be a p

Jae, thank you so much for being on my blog. Please tell my readers and myself who is the woman that speaks the truth(You) is ? Hi Felecia! Thanks for thinking of me for your blog. The me you see on IG is pretty much the me you’d get if you were my BFF. I am a Mother, a wife, a sister, daughter, friend, an advocate, and a gloriously imperfect human!  I’m passionate about helping others (women especially) to learn and live in their authentic self, their unique brilliance if you will. Honoring and living in our genuine self (who God made, not who society has tried to convince us to be) is where our power lies.  **What inspires you for most of these quotes or saying that I see on your Instagram? Either personal experience or the personal experience of those close to me. I share them because, all too often each of us feel like we’re the only one going through something or feeling a particular way, and that’s just not true. We’re all more

I Know My Baby is Cute, But Hands and Lips Off

Smith and daughter Babies are so cute, and it can become tempting for people to want to interact with them.  Although, many people may see that there is nothing wrong with it, but many parents are very offended and get upset when you do not ask permission to put your hands on their child. It becomes very hard for them to find a nice way to say," don't touch my baby or don't put your lips on them".  You would think something as little as keeping your hands off people's kids, without permission, would be an easy thing, but we live a world where people assume, they can do what they want. It's very ridiculous that a parent have to be vocal to both family members and strangers of what is not allowed.  I have two teenage kids now, but I  remember as babies, their father was very protective, and was not afraid at allowing people to know what

Written By: Felecia Causey Photography By: Felecia Causey Models: Antonio Griffin Jr., Errionna Burnett, and Lorenzo Harris We are living in a time that so many people take the fun out of sports.  The adults that participates in children's events, sometimes forget that these are just kids. Coaches, referees, trainers, and parents we must remember this at all time.  As the role models and mentors in their life, we must push away the negativity, the favoritism, the cheating, and aggressiveness. Many kids will not obtain a career in sports, but remember there are more lessons to the games than we think. As a parent we are teaching support. As a referee and a coach you are teaching them fairness,  respect for others, and teamwork. As a trainer you are teaching them hard work.  There is more to it than just the ball, the bat, the glove or any of the other equipment the sports require.  As parents we sometimes push them hard in a sport because we want
