Service Shines, Flavor Fades: My Jaws Hot Chicken Experience

So, I went to Jaws Hot Chicken and Seafood in Montgomery the other day, and I wanted to share my experience! The cashier was a total sweetheart, super helpful and friendly. However, the food itself... well, let's just say it wasn't exactly what I expected.

If you're looking for healthy, unseasoned food, or you just really like bland food, this might be your place! But if you're hoping for some flavorful, spicy chicken, you might be a little disappointed. I ordered the Nashville Tender Sandwich meal, and while the chicken was tender, it seriously lacked seasoning. The coleslaw was a bit soggy, and the fries were a complete surprise! They weren't the crispy fries pictured on their website or menu – these were crinkled fries with some sort of white seasoning on them. Plus, beware – if you don't order fries, they seem to add a lot of extra charges to the menu. It's a bit of a hidden fee situation.

I purchased the 10-piece Shrimp meal. Again, the fries were not crispy and nor were the shrimp. The seasoning was minimum to none on the shrimp.  The meal unfortunately didn't come with a drink. Which was okay since I had one with my other meal.

I ordered my husband the small gizzards with no sides. He absolutely loved them. He said they were good. Honestly that's says a lot coming from him. Although they weren't quite as seasoning to my liking.

The cashier was very convincing on their whole wings, so I decided to try them. I will say they were more seasoned than all of the other stuff I ordered. They were crunchy. I would consider ordering them again. I ordered okra for my side, in which there was an upcharge of $1.99. I love fried okra if they are cooked good. I will have to say they did an awesome job with them. They weren't too hard, and they weren't too soft.

For my desert I decided to try the 3-piece fried Oreo. They were so delicious. They were cooked to perfection. They are definitely a must buy again.

Also, a heads-up: The restaurant is near Trenholm and LAMP High School, but the roads leading to it are pretty rough. Lots of potholes, so drive carefully!

I observed that the establishment offers a diverse selection of beverages, including slushies, lemonades, and juices, in addition to a seafood menu. While I wasn't able to sample all the seafood or other menu items on this occasion, the available options appeared quite promising. I encourage you to try them and share your experience with me. I would be happy to hear your feedback.

Overall, it was an okay experience, but not something I'd rush back to. Just wanted to give you the heads-up based on my visit

With a whopping $44.50 with tax included that's my review.
