Your snacks are known for bold, unapologetic flavor. How do you approach developing new flavors that stand out in such a crowded snack market?
a. It always starts with the same question: where else can we put a pork rind? b. It’s how we landed on fan-favorite trending flavors like Hot Honey, Sweet BBQ, and Spicy Dill. c. Now we’re introducing Air-Fried Buffalo Wing and Air Fried Pizza, as well as a Pimento Cheese flavor. d. We chase crave-worthy, comfort-food flavor first, and we make sure it still checks the boxes. Those being low carb, high protein, lower sodium and lower sugar.
What does “fuel” mean to your team, and how do you ensure your products deliver both taste and substance?
a. It's not just a crunchy snack, it's protein-forward. Pork rinds are something you can actually build a day around. Purposeful eating. b. Consumers give us the highest trust there is. Consumers trust us more than almost anyone else. They literally put our product in their mouths, so improving the ingredients matters just as much as getting the flavor right.
What do your customers love most about Southern Recipe Small Batch, and how does their feedback shape future products?
a. There were undercover pork rind lovers out there the whole time, just waiting for a version that fits how they eat now.
b. Today's shopper is the most educated we've ever seen. Lower sodium, no MSG, no artificial color, non-negotiable. We listen, then we reformulate. c. The proof is in the numbers: we're in 5,000-plus restaurants, over 100 ballparks, even Disney parks.
Tell me more about the brand’s playful attitude?
a. We're all about BOLD, and we don't tiptoe around it. b. Snacking is being redefined, and we're not chasing the trend, we're setting it. c. Our voice is direct, a little irreverent, no corporate filler.
How has the brand evolved since its launch, and what exciting developments or expansions can fans look forward to?
a. We started with clean-label rinds, and now we're everywhere from grocery store shelves to foodservice and more. b. We’re launching our newest lineup just in time for football season: Air-Fried Buffalo Wing, Air-Fried Pizza, and a Pimento Cheese flavor, rolling out on PorkRinds.com and store shelves this fall. c. We're not just putting another bag on the shelf, we're elevating what people think pork rind can be.
At its core, what does Southern Recipe Small Batch want to represent in the snack industry?

I don’t know about you all, but I love me some fresh pork rinds. Two things make these stand out: the freshness and the fact that they’re not hard, and the guilt‑free snacking because they’re keto‑friendly, gluten‑free, and low‑carb. I had the chance to try three flavors, and each one brought something different to the table.
The Sweet BBQ with smoke flavor was my absolute favorite. If you’re big on BBQ or onion‑style flavors, these will not disappoint. They’re officially on my movie‑night must‑have list.
The Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper is perfect for savory lovers. It has a punch of pepper that isn’t overpowering, but it definitely sneaks up on you after a few bites.
The Hot Honey with smoke flavor is for my sweet‑and‑spicy people. I love heat, and these delivered. They have a great balance of sweetness and spice, and the consistency and texture were spot‑on across all flavors.
For all my keto eaters, here’s a tasty snack to add to your list. And the most interesting part? They’re cooked in sunflower oil. They have more flavors available, and I can’t wait to try them.
