Being a Single Mother During The Holidays

I became a single parent in 2007 when my husband passed away. This was a very difficult time, and brought on many different challenges. With the help of God All was conquered. One of the most challenging things about being a single parent during the holidays is feeling like the family was incomplete, and feeling sympathy for my kids because their dad wasn't around. Another challenge  about being single parent during the holidays is feeling like I couldn't provide all of my kids needs by myself. Even though there are difficult times, but it's not all bad.  The best part I enjoyed the most about the holidays was us coming together as a family to celebrate the love we have for one another and Christ. Being a single parent during the holidays have taught me to be strong and independent for my kids. It has also taught me to embrace the things that I can't change, and to wait on God's
purpose and plan for me and my family!!
