God Is My Healer

Hi, my name is Moneka, and I am 36 years old and I currently don't have any kids. I want to share my story about my disease. In June 2011, I thought I was pregnant and I was terrified.   My stomach grew big. When I held my shirt up, and showed my mom and sister my belly, they agreed that I may be pregnant. We went to the store and purchased a pregnancy test. The test came back negative. I was confused, because I had all the symptoms of being pregnant. My sister suggested that I schedule an appointment with the doctor, so we could find out what was going on.  They decided to do a pregnancy test. When it came back negative they sent me to the emergency room to have an ultrasound.  I didn't want to go because I was tired, but they eventually called us to the back.  The doctor asked me, what was going on, and I told him I may be pregnant. He looked at my stomach and shook it, and said that my stomach was full of fluid. They ended up draining a bunch of fluid off of it . The next day they drained my stomach again.

When I went home my stomach was getting bigger.  My shirt size at this time was between XL or 2X. I had become uncomfortable, and I also would become full off, just drinking water.

In 2013, I went back to my doctor, and she started doing some more tests to see what was going on. She sent me to see an OB/GYN.  I was eventually told, that I had a cyst on my ovary, and I had to have surgery. In August 2013, I had my first surgery and I was scared. I found out I had internal bleeding and blood clots. I came through it, and I thank God. I stayed three days in the hospital and came home. I am still having problems and bad cramps.  They finally diagnosed me with Endometriosis stage 4.  I am a witness that God is a healer and comforter.

**Endometriosis is a condition that occurs when the uterine tissue grows not only in the interior of the uterus but in other areas, such as the fallopian tubes, ovaries and the bowels. During the women's menstrual cycle, it can become painful.**
