Summer is here and everyone is looking for fun things to do, staying cool, and eating delicious foods and treats. I’m ready to share my recent experience with Ice King that’s located here in Montgomery, AL.  Is it worth the visit and will your family/friends love it?  Well Felecia Causey’s Blog is here to give you a breakdown and give my honest opinion.

I will start with the location of this spot. It’s located in a busy area, where there are many other businesses, restaurants, and treat shops.  You must be careful getting in and out of traffic, but it’s worth the hustle and bustle of this location.  Now let's get to the good part.

Inside of Ice King, the first things that caught my attention were the cleanliness, the greeting, the spaciousness, vivid colors, and the cool decor.

We were greeted by the courteous and very kind shift manager, Kevin. Since dealing with bad customer service is a pet peeve of mine, for me, all the employees were refreshing, and they raised the bar...

When you walk in you will see a three-screen monitor with all the sweet treats and descriptions.  I wanted to try a little of everything.  As Kevin gave me the rundown on what were their popular items, narrowing down the many options, were hard.  Wait wait….did I mention that you can add toppings on your ice cream!! Okay, now back to the seriousness, my lactose and tolerant readers/followers they offer nondairy rolled ice cream.  How awesome is that?!

These are what my kids and I tried below with the description.

My daughter, who had been super excited to try a Boba drink, finally got the opportunity. For her boba experience she tried ning meng strawberry. I even snuck a sample.  It was very different. If I had to simply explain it, I would have to say it reminded me of a strawberry milkshake with chunks.

My son chose their flavor “dark humor”. He added M&M’s, caramel, and whip cream on his. Yep, I got myself a spoon and got me a quick sample.  This would definitely be for my chocolate lovers.

I had myself the “the cookie monster”. It reminded me of my favorite cookies and cream ice cream. I added graham crackers, Oreos, and whip cream. I love the fact that it was sweet, but not too sweet.  By the way, I wasn’t selfish, I allowed my kids to try mine also. We all agreed it was our favorite.

Okay, I know every one of my supporters are ready to hear if I would go back, is it a must try, and if I would suggest this place. Yes, yes, and yes.  Let me do a quick breakdown on why.

** I would go back because there are more things on their menu I would like to try, and I must have another cookie monster again.

** Definitely a must try!! I believe that no matter how good a person “myself” describes it, there is nothing like trying it out yourself.  The cute little names on the menu like The Cookie Monster, and The Unicorn would be a hit for your little ones and even the big kids.  Parents this is even a great time for your inner kid to come out in you.

**I do suggest. Great customer service, VERY CLEAN, nice sitting area, and for my germophobic readers, the preppers wear masks and gloves.

Ice King offers Grubhub and Door Dash for those who use their services.

Enjoy and please be sure to let me know how your experience was and what treat you tried!!
