Who loves sweets and good customer service? Treats By Gifted is the place to receive both.  The presentation, location, and customer service were amazing.

Let's meet the person behind the treats and the new bakery in Montgomery, Al. Crystal. Dorian, Ms.Betty, and her welcomed my daughter and I “with open arms”.  My first question to Crystal was what her motivation was, and how did her journey start with baking desserts and creating these amazing sweets. Crystal said as a young girl, around the age of her son, Dorian, she would bake with her mother. After her son was born, she began to bake more.

“When my son’s birthday came around, I realized it was feasible for me to make his cake myself. It all started as a side hustle until two years ago, Treats by Gifted became a full-time business.  I left my job with a leap of faith to open my bakery.  God wanted me out of my comfort zone.  The financial part has been the biggest challenge, but my faith is bigger than what I see.”

Crystal’s biggest fans and supporters are her mother and her son.  She shared how her “village” and support system has been amazing.

I wanted to know how Mr. Dorian felt about his mother opening her business. “I love running the register and the people love my customer service. I am happy. My favorite cupcake is my mother’s red velvet.”

My goodness I could not leave her sweet mom out, Ms. Betty.  As I talked to Crystal, I noticed how proud she looked at her.

“I am so proud of her. I love that she is able to accomplish her passion.  I didn’t see her vision before the vision came alive. After seeing her repeated customers and hearing all the compliments, it made me feel good.  I didn’t know that baking with my daughter would be an inspiration to her starting a business.  My favorite cupcake is her sweet potato cheesecake.”

Crystal does offer several other wonderful treats for all different occasions.

Okay let's get to the sweet tooth talk.

First of all, when anything is made from scratch, I know two things, they are going to be good and fixed with love and passion.  These cupcakes didn’t only look good but tasted good. The cake part was so moist. Do you know how most times the cakes or cupcakes would be so pretty, but they would be dry or nasty inside? The cupcakes were so good. I am not big on cake icing, but my kids and husband loved it. I could have just eaten the cake part all by itself. We had several to try, and each one of them DID NOT lack presentation or flavor. Although my kids wanted to name all the cupcakes as their favorite, I unfortunately had them narrow down to one. The kids loved the red velvet cupcake the most.  My husband spoke very highly of the chocolate cupcake, which is his favorite flavor.  My favorite was the strawberry. The balance on the sweet was just right. It was a tough pick, but I do know that she has a flavor for everyone.

She will be hosting events soon.  She is still a new business, and if you would like to bless her business by purchasing something off amazon wish list, the link is below.
