Hello! My name is Jacquelyn Cole, and I’m an author, loctician, and artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. Writing has been my refuge since childhood, allowing me to turn pain into prose and resilience into creativity. I am also a single mother, and my journey through life’s challenges has deeply influenced my work. My storytelling is heartfelt and raw, meant to connect with those who have faced struggles and help them find hope through the pages of my books.
"Tell us about your inspiration for your book, Whispers Across the Waves."
Whispers Across the Waves was inspired by my love for storytelling and the complexities of human relationships. This novel explores themes of love, heartbreak, and healing, interwoven with deep family secrets that shape the characters' lives. Though entirely fictional, it reflects the emotional struggles many people face—learning to navigate pain, uncovering hidden truths, and finding the strength to move forward. My hope is that readers connect with the story and find pieces of themselves within its pages.
What do you want readers to take away after reading your book?
I want my readers to walk away feeling seen, heard, and inspired. Whispers Across the Waves is a true love story woven with pain, heartache, and family secrets that leave lasting emotional scars. My goal is to show that healing is possible, that their voices matter, and that they are never alone in their struggles. Through my characters, I hope to inspire resilience, self-discovery, and the courage to face the truth, no matter how painful.

Absolutely! I’m currently working on my second book, which follows the journey of a little girl who endured childhood trauma, bullying, and two failed marriages before finally finding her voice as an adult. This story is deeply personal, and I hope it will resonate with readers just as much as my first book has.

Yes! My biggest piece of advice is to write fearlessly and trust your voice. Don’t wait for perfection—just start writing. There will be doubts, but your story is worth telling. Also, don’t be afraid to invest in professional editing and book marketing. Lastly, connect with a supportive community of writers; the journey can feel lonely at times, but having the right people around makes all the difference.
