So, I finally checked out Waffle and Co. in Millbrook – I'd seen their awesome online presence and, living in Montgomery, I was curious if the 30-minute drive would be worth it. Let me tell you, it was a trip down memory lane, as I hadn't been in that part of town for ages! The restaurant's easy to spot – it's uphill from a four-way stop, surrounded by other businesses.
I'd arranged to meet the owners for an interview, but unfortunately, they weren't there. No biggie, stuff happens! But I'd come too far to skip the food – that's the whole point of this review, right?
The greeting was a little quirky (read: sarcastic!), but I brushed it off; I was there for waffles! My server, Alexis, was a total sweetheart, though – super friendly and helpful, explaining the menu and recommending their most popular items. I ordered takeout. Prices were pretty reasonable, about $35 with tax (drinks aren't included, FYI).
The restaurant itself is cozy – not huge, but not cramped either. It feels like a great place for a family lunch. They even have a jukebox, which I thought was a fun touch! The floor was a bit sticky, but I figured that was probably from a busy breakfast rush. It wasn't a huge deal, and their health score was great. The wait was about 10-15 minutes, which is perfectly fine by me (as long as the food's fresh and hot, which it was!).
I grabbed some food to go, and let me tell you, the presentation was amazing! The food was perfectly cooked, too; nice and hot.
I started with the club sandwich and waffle fries. The fries were seriously good – crispy, well-seasoned, and definitely gave Chick-fil-A a run for their money! (Though, let's be honest, Chick-fil-A's fries are a bit of a gamble sometimes, aren't they?) The bread on the sandwich was fresh and delicious. My only tiny complaint? No pickle! A small thing, I know.
Next up, the chicken and waffles. OMG. This was my favorite! One HUGE, fluffy waffle (more than enough, honestly) with perfectly cooked, hand-breaded chicken tenders. The syrup wasn't overly sweet, just right. Definitely not your average frozen waffle!
And then… the funnel cake fries. These were SO good, it felt like I was a kid again! A little pricey, maybe, for the portion size, but totally worth it for a treat.
Overall, I'd give Waffle and Co a 4.7 out of 5 stars. I docked them a little for the missing pickle and the funnel cake fries price, but honestly, those are minor quibbles. The food was fantastic, and I'd definitely go back! There are so many other things on the menu I want to try – their omelets and other waffle dishes sound amazing.
One thing to keep in mind: they have limited hours. It's breakfast/lunch only, Monday-Friday 6 AM-2 PM, and Saturday-Sunday 8 AM-2 PM. They also do some fun specials, like Wing & Waffle Wings and a Happy Hour (Monday-Friday 10 AM-1 PM).

Let me know if you decide to go – I'd love to hear what you think! And just to be clear, this isn't sponsored or anything – just my honest opinion based on my experience.
Chow Down!
