So, I finally checked out Fry & Fork – you know, that place everyone's been raving about? Honestly, the inside felt *exactly* like Hangry Joe's used to. Same layout, even the menu seemed pretty similar! I went right when they opened, and there was just a small group and one guy ordering a ton of food. The person who took my order was super sweet.
I grabbed the 6-piece mild wet wings and the spicy chicken sandwich combo (coleslaw, buns, but hold the pickles – thanks!). It took about 20-25 minutes, which wasn't ideal, but I figured it was because they cook everything fresh. And it was definitely hot and fresh! The chicken was a tad dry, but the coleslaw on the sandwich totally saved it. The sandwich itself wasn't as spicy as I'd hoped. You know I'm a fry snob – gotta be crispy, seasoned, and firm! They served steak fries, and ugh… those aren't my thing.
The wings were a good size, not too fatty, and nicely sauced. The ranch helped!
The long wait time, dry chicken, and those steak fries are the main reasons I probably won't rush back. But honestly, it's not *terrible*, and you might enjoy it! Worth a try, you know?
Happy eating!
