Flavorful, Generous, and Almost Flawless—A Taco Experience Tucked Away

So, I was scrolling through TikTok the other day and saw this place, Ay Tacos, in Montgomery, AL (it's tucked away between Atlanta Hwy and Chantilly – you might miss it!). This TikToker raved about it, and I just *had* to check it out. Turns out, it's super cute! They've got these awesome food pics in the window, and even outdoor seating. And get this – a giant inflatable thing out front! Seriously, a smart move since it's a little hard to spot from the road. (Just watch your head going in – kidding... mostly!).

We weren't sure what to order, but the cashier (who's the owner's daughter, I think) was a lifesaver! So sweet and helpful. We grabbed Combo #1 (3 Birria tacos with consommé) and Combo #4 (Birria Beef Ramen and a chorizo). Each came with a drink.

Now, the menu prices seemed a little high at first glance, but trust me, the portions and the taste totally justified it! We got our food in under 10 minutes, everything was fresh, and the place, though small, it was pretty neat. I snapped a bunch of pics and videos while we waited. I live pretty close, so I hustled home to avoid cold tacos!

Okay, the tacos. Seriously, the *best*. The shell was incredible, and the entire taco – I mean the *whole thing* – was perfectly seasoned. This was a first for me! No bland meat here, just amazing flavor. And the extra stuff on the side was a nice touch, though I didn't even need it after that first bite.

Combo #4 was equally amazing. The portion size was HUGE! I was seriously shocked for the price. The birria beef was so tender, and the broth…oh my goodness. I'd buy that broth separately and marinate *everything* in it! I need to know their secret! I’ll never eat ramen without it again.

The chorizo, sadly, wasn’t my favorite. Not bad, just not up to the standard of the other dishes.

So, the verdict? Would I go back? Absolutely! 4.8 out of 5 stars. I docked it a little because they didn't have chips and salsa (a personal preference, I know!), and because that $3.50 chorizo went mostly uneaten.

Do I recommend it? Yes! Definitely check it out and let me know what you think!
