My daughter and I love watching food shows. It’s one of our favorite things to do together—we’ll grab snacks, wrap up in blankets, and binge-watch episodes for hours. Recently, we saw a show featuring contestants who owned a crepe food truck, and it sparked our curiosity. Neither of us had ever tried a crepe before, so when I heard that La Galette Nomad was coming to our neighborhood, I knew I had to stop by and give it a try.
🛻 First Impressions
Since crepes were new to me, I decided to order something that felt a little familiar. The owner was incredibly sweet and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It was a hot day, and standing outside while waiting wasn’t ideal, but the wait time was about 10–15 minutes, which was reasonable.
🍽️ What I Ordered
I chose one savory and one sweet crepe:
Savory: Ham, cheese, and egg (served on wheat)
Sweet: Strawberry and whipped cream
The total came to around $23.
🍓 Taste & Texture
Because of the heat, the whipped cream and strawberries started melting quickly, so I rushed home to enjoy them while they were still fresh.
Between the two, the strawberry and whipped cream crepe was my favorite. It was light, sweet, and refreshing—perfect for a summer treat.
The savory crepe wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t quite my style. I wasn’t a fan of the texture, and while everything was fresh and hot, it had a unique flavor that just didn’t suit my personal taste.
✅ Final Thoughts
Would I recommend La Galette Nomad? Yes. It’s something different, and I think many people would enjoy the opportunity to try something they may not have experienced before. While I personally wouldn’t go back for another crepe, I’m glad I gave it a try—and I can officially cross it off my “must-try” list.
