In Deer Creek, I had the opportunity to try Moore’s Tasty Food Truck, a local favorite recommended by both my daughter and her father. Their enthusiastic reviews had me eager to experience the food for myself.

Ordering & Pricing

Upon arrival, there was a small line of customers, and the young woman who took our order was courteous and helpful. The menu offered a wide selection of items, which made choosing a bit difficult—in a good way.

  • My daughter ordered a cheeseburger with fries and macaroni.

  • I selected the 10-piece wings with okra and fries.

  • Her father requested his usual: regular Cajun loaded fries.

The total cost for all three meals was nearly $48.00, which felt slightly high. However, I appreciated that there was no additional fee for using a debit card. The wait time was approximately 15 to 20 minutes, which was reasonable given the crowd.

Before leaving, my daughter and I decided to try their Passion juice, which had caught our eye. At $3.50 per bottle, the price seemed steep for a beverage, but we were curious to see if it lived up to its visual appeal.

Food Quality & Taste

  • Cajun Loaded Fries: These were the highlight of the meal—fresh, hot, and generously topped. They were flavorful and well-prepared.

  • Cheeseburger Meal: The burger was large, aromatic, and tasted great. The fries were also well-cooked and satisfying.

  • Macaroni: Rich and cheesy, though slightly over-seasoned with black pepper, which made it too spicy for my daughter’s taste.

  • 10-Piece Wings: The wings were impressively large and saucy. I had requested mild, but they were spicier than expected. I ended up sharing most of them with my son.

  • Fries (on my plate): Crispy but lacked seasoning. They were acceptable, though not particularly memorable.

  • Okra: Unfortunately, the okra was overcooked and too hard to enjoy. I did not eat any of it.

  • Passion Juice: Visually appealing but overly sweet for my preference.

Final Thoughts

Despite a few shortcomings, Moore’s Tasty Food Truck delivered a mostly enjoyable experience. The Cajun loaded fries were exceptional, and the cheeseburger was a solid choice. While the okra and juice fell short, the overall quality and service were commendable.

I would return to try other menu items such as the pulled pork sandwich, ultimate Philly, and shrimp tacos. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. Recommended for those seeking bold flavors and generous portions.
