Justin’s Seafood: Montgomery’s Hidden Gem That Keeps Delivering

I first came across Justin’s Seafood on TikTok. The content creator didn’t give much detail—just said the food was really good. That was enough to spark my curiosity, but finding the place wasn’t easy. With no updated social media page and limited online presence, I had to do some real digging.

The location itself is a bit tricky and, honestly, felt a little suspect at first. It’s the definition of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant—not flashy, not polished, and definitely not what you'd expect from a place getting online buzz. But looks can be deceiving.

While it may not be the best-looking spot, the food and customer service are by far some of the best I’ve experienced in Montgomery. We’ve visited three times back-to-back, and each time the quality and quantity have been consistent. That’s rare. There are plenty of restaurants where the first visit is great—good food, friendly staff—but when you go back, it’s like a completely different place. Not here. Justin’s Seafood hasn’t missed a beat.

Andy, the gentleman who takes our order and greets us each time, is awesome—always welcoming and consistent in his service.

What do they sell? A variety of fried favorites: fish, chicken, shrimp, hushpuppies, fries, fried okra—and the list goes on. The food is freshly cooked, and they’re upfront about the wait time (usually 10–15 minutes), which is a refreshing change from many restaurants and food trucks that leave you guessing.

The prices? Unbeatable. I got two plates for what some places charge for one. Like I’ve said in previous blogs, I don’t mind paying when the food and service are great—and Justin’s delivers both.

We’ve purchased a total of five plates across our visits in one week. I didn’t capture photos of every dish (and I regret that!) but trust me—the food tastes as good as it looks.

  • The fish was perfectly seasoned and battered—not too thick, just enough to give it that crisp finish.

  • The shrimp were just as flavorful.

  • The fries were hot and fresh, no seasoning needed because they were that good.

  • And the fried okra? Cooked just the way I like it—fully done and crunchy. Not hard and undercooked like what I’ve had from other places.

To be honest, I didn’t want to share this hidden gem. But because they’ve been so good to us, I want them to succeed.

Would I recommend Justin’s Seafood? Most definitely. Will we be going back? At least once a week. Go support them—you won’t be disappointed.
