I’ve come across Peppertree Steaks and Wine several times over the years, and I even remember living in the apartment complex nearby. The shop offers wines, quality cuts of meat, seasonings, desserts, and more. After seeing a flyer on Facebook advertising a few specials—including a deal on wings and burgers—I decided it was finally time to stop in and give them a try.
When I walked in, there were a couple of people ahead of me, so I took a moment to browse and look at some of their items. Before I get into the food and customer service, I want to mention that Peppertree is on the pricier side, and the wait time is long. That’s something to keep in mind if you plan to visit.
I ordered the smash burger and wing special for $16.99, along with their new homemade fries for $3.00. I requested my burger medium‑well and my wings mild lemon pepper wet, but I received regular lemon pepper wet instead. I’m not sure where the communication slipped, but it wasn’t a big deal.
The wait time was over 30 minutes. Anyone who follows my reviews knows I’m big on customer service, wait time, and presentation. I want to highlight Mia, the young lady who took my order—she was friendly, professional, and upfront. She let me know the food would take a while because everything is cooked to order. I respect that, especially since I’ve dealt with plenty of places that don’t give you a heads‑up and leave you impatient and guessing. My best advice is to call ahead if you’re in a rush or on your lunch break.
When I finally received my order, the presentation immediately stood out. Whoever plated my food did it with care. Everything was neatly arranged, the toppings and condiments were placed thoughtfully, and my buns weren’t soggy. The fries had their own box, which I appreciated—nothing was crammed together or thrown in as an afterthought.
Now, let’s talk about the taste. The smash burger was one of the best I’ve had. Cooking a burger without drying it out is a skill many people don’t have, but the cook nailed it. The smoky flavor was perfect, and the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were fresh. With the condiments on the side, I could add exactly what I wanted. The cheese melted beautifully between the thick patties, and the spear pickle was a nice touch. Truly delicious.
The wings were seasoned well, but what impressed me most was the texture—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. That combination alone puts them among the top wings I’ve tried. The lemon pepper wasn’t overpowering, just enough. Too many places hide dry wings under heavy seasoning; these didn’t need that at all.
And those homemade fries… absolutely incredible. Hot, crunchy, and seasoned perfectly. So many restaurants undercook their fries, and I can’t stand that. These were done right, and they brought the whole meal together. I can honestly say the food was worth every dime.
I’ll definitely be going back. Kudos to the owners for having a team that delivers both quality food and great customer service. Peppertree Steaks and Wine is a strong start to my 2026 food reviews.
If you haven’t been, I highly recommend giving them a try. I’ll be returning soon, and it’s not often I get to write such a glowing review. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, this might be the perfect place to elevate your plans and earn a few brownie points. This is not a sponsored or paid promotion—just an honest review.
