The Scalise Family Sheep Farm is a family‑owned farm dedicated to creating natural skincare products you can trust. Ben, the owner, shared that what began as a passion for raising healthy sheep has grown into a commitment to simple, effective, chemical‑free skincare. Every product is handcrafted in small batches using milk from their own sheep, ensuring purity, freshness, and quality in every bar. Rich in natural vitamins, their products gently nourish, hydrate, and care for the skin offering a wholesome alternative to commercial formulas. When you support them, you’re supporting a true family farm.
Talking with Ben made the story even more special. I asked if farming had always been a dream of his, and he laughed, saying it wasn’t. Everything started with one sheep named Midge quite possibly the cutest name ever. When he first shared the idea with his family, they were skeptical, but the journey unfolded beautifully.
One of the biggest learning curves, he said, was figuring out proper nutrition and keeping the sheep healthy. I was tickled hearing about one of the new babies, Nibbler, who loves biting on pants pockets. The farm has now celebrated over 30 successful births.
I was curious about milking season, and Ben explained that it’s tough, they milk twice a day. I told him it sounded a lot like waking up with a newborn. We also talked about how crocheters love using their wool yarn, something my daughter who adores yarn, would be fascinated by.
Of course, I had to ask whether the sheep buck and fight during sheep shearing. Ben said, “Oh yes,” and I could only imagine the chaos. I wouldn’t know whether to laugh or cry if that were my job. They also have chickens and hogs on the farm.
When we talked products, Ben shared that their top sellers are the rose skin balm and the wool dish sponge.
As a mom of a child with eczema, I’m always searching for natural products that help relieve discomfort, so hearing about these options definitely caught my attention.
My daughter has already started using their products to see if we notice improvement. I received the Handmade Frankincense Skin Balm and their natural sheep‑milk soap. I want to commend them on their beautiful presentation and fast shipping. I’ll be sharing updates on my social media as we continue trying these products. Please be sure to let me know your experience if you get to try some of these great products.
