I decided to try Little Italy Pizzeria in Auburn, located on Magnolia Avenue. I’d seen both great reviews and not‑so‑great ones, but I always believe in forming my own opinion when it comes to food and people. Lunch time was just getting started, and there were a few customers sitting inside. I even met a couple from Boston who admired my Boston jersey, which made for a fun moment.

The man who took my order was very patient while I looked over the menu. I finally decided on the 20‑inch Meat Lovers pizza for $20 plus tax. I’m not going to lie; the price caught me off guard at first. But when I noticed the stone oven, I told myself this pizza was going to be good. They told me it would take about 15 minutes, so I ran down to the popcorn shop nearby, and the timing worked out perfectly.

When I got back, I only waited a couple more minutes before one of the gentlemen brought my order right to my table. I took the pizza to my car, and when I opened the box, I was honestly amazed. It was a beauty, a full masterpiece of a pizza. Sitting in the passenger seat, I couldn’t wait to see if it tasted as good as it looked.

It was piping hot, and I was practically burning my mouth trying to eat it because every bite had that perfect cheese pull. It wasn’t greasy, and the crust was by far one of the best I’ve had. The sauce, the crust, and the toppings were all in a perfect ratio, nothing overpowering, everything balanced. Even though it was a little expensive, it was worth every dime. I already plan to grab an even bigger one the next time I go back.

For those who need gluten‑friendly options, they do offer that. They also serve subs, salads, calzones, and desserts. It’s not often I get to try a new restaurant without having any complaints, but Little Italy Pizzeria earned a solid 5 out of 5 stars from this food reviewer. I truly hope every experience continues to be this good, because I’ve had places where I give a high rating, go back, and suddenly it drops from a 4 or 5 to a 2 or below. But today, we’re leaving it at one of the top three pizzas I’ve purchased from a restaurant.
