I saw Mac and Shack on TikTok, so I decided to try it while we were in Destin. The main attraction was supposed to be the macaroni, but when I saw the noodles sitting in a pan dry and stuck together on the cpunter, I automatically said, “That’s a big no.” So I chose something else off the menu.
I ordered their $3.99 two‑piece apple logs with syrup, a cup of tomato soup ($2.99), and a bottle of water ($1.99). My total came to $9.78, including tax and a 2% activity fee, which was definitely unusual.
The apple logs were not all that. The texture was off, they weren’t crispy like the photo, and I only ate one because I didn’t like it at all. I was expecting that firm McDonald’s‑style apple pie texture with a warm filling inside.
The tomato soup was good and had a smooth texture. I was disappointed that there were no crackers, and I would’ve asked for some if I had known before leaving. That part was on me for not checking the bag.
The Walmart‑brand water was $2.00, but I was hot and thirsty, so honestly, I would’ve paid $5 if I had to.
I was second in line, so the wait wasn’t long at all. But I was really disappointed at how the macaroni was sitting out, and the apple logs were a waste of $4. I truly wish I had a better opinion of this place because it was so cute, and the customer service was really nice.
