Mom's Looking for the Perfect Getaway

Good mothers are some of the most underrated people on Earth. What do I mean by some moms? A lot of women want the title of being a mother, but not the responsibility. It’s a 24/7 job. It’s hard to get away and have some me time, because moms, like me, are always putting the kids' needs and wants before themselves.  I don’t complain, because it's my norm. I chose the role and chose to give my all, even now they are practically adults.  Yes, I still fix them breakfast, make sure they have school lunches, and snacks before they attend after school activities, work, or sports. I do not have the layout of what the perfect mother is supposed to be and what they are supposed to do. I do know that moms sometimes need relaxation time. Most of us feel guilty that we should ask such a thing, but to be mentally healthy for those babies and mostly yourself you need to get away.

When it comes to finally treating yourself, you are willing to sacrifice and splurge. A staycation or even flying to a far distance hotel or resort that is across the country is on the table. When this is something that is not often done by us moms that are constantly on the go, finding the perfect spot is a must. It’s scary to choose from so many options, but what if you don’t select the right one. The photos online are a lie, and the reviews are biased.  You are willing to spend top dollars, but you want the experience that was guaranteed from the website, and social media pages.

After discussing in my private group with almost 300,000 or more women from across the world, I wanted the opinions from both single and married women, of what would be the ideal trip and getaway.   The majority said they would want a hotel or resort that had mature folks that know how to act. They didn’t want to leave their kids to come to a location where they had to deal with immature adults.  The next one was to have the options to eat on site of the place they were staying.  The third most voted was great customer service. What a person would regret about selecting an expensive place is dealing with rude front desk workers.  The last most voted was being able to drink a glass of wine, read a book, and peace and quiet.   Although there were hundreds of comments on this topic, these were the top.

With so many overhyped social media posts and reviews, moms just want “the meat and taters”.  What do I mean, give us the best places for a mom getaway. We have put everyone before us, and now we are looking for the perfect locations, with honest reviews, both good and bad. If the location outweighs the bad, some things can be overlooked, but allow us to decide if we are willing to make that sacrifice.  Although many guarantee that your stay will be remarkable, it turns out to be nothing as it was cut out to be.

Please be sure to come back and see some amazing hiding gems soon. Also contact me if you have a secret getaway that’s a must visit for moms.
