Hello, my name is Kimberly, owner of Lifestyle Fitness Studio. I entered into fitness for personal reasons. I used fitness to lose weight and manage the stress of divorce. I had tried to lose weight before and gained 100 pounds. Now with more weight to lose, I felt like if I had someone to lean towards or a support system, I could not only lose the weight but share the experience of my challenges and struggles.

This narrative has evolved into something more profound, which is Dynamic Physiques Lifestyle Fitness Studio. Our studio is centered on or focused on women in their season of life, aged 40-55. The studio offers small group training sessions of 5-8 women, which is small enough to have a one to feel but large enough to build community support amongst all. Summer is a time when everyone has aspirations of wearing less and buzzing the beaches with fun activities! Summer is also the time when we pick up weight because of the extra events and outdoor activities. Since 90% of weight loss and lifestyle changes are psychological, an approach that is sustainable is recommended. Begin with the foundation of the goal.

If the goal is weight loss, simply establish the baseline for measurements, progress photos, and weight. Understand that scale weight is not a trusted measurement of progress because of fluctuations; however, over 4 weeks you do want to see the scale tick down. The idea of good foods vs. bad foods can cause you to lose hope because we live in a social environment and people need to understand that all foods are energy for the body. Food is neither good nor bad but simply energy. It’s the overconsumption of energy or calories that gets stored as fat, which increases our overall weight. The Studio currently doesn’t offer meal prep, but we educate our clients on making all foods fit into their lives so that they enjoy their lives, lose weight, and feel better about themselves.
