A Mixed Experience at WNB Factory: Good Wings, Room to Improve

My daughter and I decided to treat ourselves to a girls' day out, and we ended up trying WNB Factory Wings, Burgers, and Tenders on Atlanta Hwy. Walking into the restaurant, the floors were a little sticky and there were mops leaning against the wall. I didn’t think too much of it at first—maybe they had just finished cleaning or had a rush earlier. But as it turned out, we were the only customers inside, aside from someone who came in to pick up an online order.

The cashier was really nice, which I appreciated. However, she and another person behind the counter spent a lot of time playing around, singing, and even eating at the counter. Now, if that’s the vibe the owner allows, that’s their choice—but personally, I didn’t find it very professional, especially in a food service setting.

The menu reminded me of places like Touchdown Wings and American Deli, but the prices were a bit higher. Most combos didn’t include drinks, which made it feel less like a value meal. I ordered the 6-piece mild lemon pepper wings meal, and my daughter got the chicken tender meal. The wait time was nearly 20 minutes, which felt excessive considering how empty the place was. I grabbed my drink before we left, and I’m glad I did—after that long wait, the ice would’ve been melted.

We snapped a few photos and headed home to dig in. My daughter’s chicken tenders were all different shades, which made me wonder if they were cooked separately or double-dipped. She said they smelled like they’d been fried in fish grease. I tried a piece myself, and it was hard and dry on the inside. Even with honey mustard sauce, it couldn’t mask the dryness. On the bright side, both of our fries were great—crispy, hot, and well-seasoned.

My wings were actually really good. They were on the smaller side, but they were seasoned well. I prefer mine soaked in sauce, and these weren’t, but they still had solid flavor. The drink was just okay—I suspect it was time to change it out.

As for whether I’d return, it’s unlikely—but that doesn’t mean it won’t be worth a visit for someone else. Every dining experience is unique, and while this one didn’t quite hit the mark for me, it might be just what you're looking for. If you decide to check them out, I’d love to hear how it went for you. Feel free to share your thoughts!
