I had passed by this restaurant countless times while visiting the hair store nearby, but never stopped in. Recently, we received coupons in the mail along with a full menu. With the kids away, I decided it was the perfect time to finally give them a try.
Sure enough, the restaurant had a sign out front proudly announcing the change in ownership. Inside, I was greeted with a menu that seemed endless—so many options that I felt a little overwhelmed. After some deliberation, I narrowed my choice down to the lunch menu and ordered the wings and fries combo.
To my surprise, the wings were full-sized, not the smaller portions I had expected. I went with the buffalo flavor, though it wasn’t the traditional buffalo taste I’m used to. Still, they were enjoyable and satisfying. The fries, however, were a miss for me. As many of my readers know, I love fries that are both crispy and well-seasoned. These were neither, so I ended up sharing them with my dogs as a treat.
I also ordered sesame chicken with fried rice and broccoli, and this dish was the star of the meal. The chicken was moist and perfectly cooked, the fried rice was seasoned beautifully, and the broccoli added a nice balance. I couldn’t stop eating it—it was that good. This is definitely a dish I’ll be ordering again.
For dessert, I tried the Chinese Donuts, which were a delightful surprise. They were fried to perfection, not greasy at all, and had a great size and taste. My only complaint was that most of the sugar had fallen off, leaving them a little under-sweetened. Still, they were delicious and worth ordering.
Customer service was friendly and attentive. One small detail caught my attention: when I tipped the cashier, the owner placed the money into a communal jar. It wasn’t my preference, but I later learned it’s their policy. Nothing personal, just something to note.
The wait time was between 15–18 minutes, which I found very reasonable. My total came to $25.27, but thanks to a 15% discount, I ended up paying $21.82—a nice bonus to an already enjoyable meal.
Overall, my first visit was a success. While the fries didn’t win me over, the sesame chicken, fried rice, broccoli, and Chinese Donuts more than made up for it. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, great service, and plenty of menu options to explore.
I’ll definitely be going back soon—and I recommend you give them a try as well. If you do, let me know about your experience!
