I am from Sweet Home Alabama, where we love Southern cooking and all the traditional foods. So, when I received Goode Company’s Brazos Bottom Pecan Pie, this huge, beautiful pie looking like something straight out of a magazine, I was stunned. After seeing the size of the pie and the pecans piled on top, I immediately pushed my Texas travel plans up. If everything in Texas is sold big like this pie, I’m definitely excited to visit.
I am a pecan‑pie lover, one of my absolute favorite desserts. I knew this one was going to be good because the presentation was a 10/10. You know how people say you eat with your eyes first? I agree. Presentation is everything, and let’s just say this pie not only looks good but tastes amazing. I love how every bite was covered with pecans, my favorite part. I appreciate the crust not being too thick or too thin, and the filling was my family’s favorite part. I’m not big on overly sweet pecan pies, and this one was perfect across the board.
I appreciate the rich flavors in the deep crust. The gooey filling inside that shortbread‑like crust was everything. Despite the generous amount of filling, it still held sturdy.
This 9‑inch Southern dessert came in a wooden branded keepsake box, and in my opinion, it is definitely worth the bucks to try. The weight of it when I received it was surprising, everything about it was over‑the‑top Texas style.
I wasn’t expecting the box, so with the holidays right around the corner, and many upcoming events and names on your gift list, this is a great option. The best part is they can ship it right to your front door or your loved ones. My biggest fear was that the pie would arrive broken, but guess what? Not a pecan or crust was out of place.
So, ma’am/sir, take my word, gift yourself this pie and thank me later.
