I recently came across a TikTok video about a restaurant in Montgomery called CC Wings and Seafood on Perry Hill Rd, and it immediately went on my “must‑try” list. I’ve seen plenty of places get hyped online only for the experience to be a waste of time and money, so I went in with cautious expectations. The building used to be a Hardee’s, and my first impression reminded me of Ocean Seafood & Chicken and Jaws Hot Chicken & Seafood—very similar menus.
Out of the three, though, this one has been the best across the board.
The customer service, the food, and the speed were all impressive. My order came out in under 15 minutes, and everything was cooked to order. As I’ve said before, I don’t mind waiting as long as the food comes out hot, and they delivered. They also have a drive‑thru, and unlike many similar spots, the line actually moved quickly. The staff seemed organized, and the restaurant was clean despite them dealing with some bathroom issues that day.
Now let’s get into what I ordered.
I got the 10‑piece traditional mild lemon pepper wings with crinkle fries and a Dr Pepper ($12.49), a medium shrimp fried rice ($6.59), a four‑piece chicken tender meal with fries and a Dr Pepper ($8.99), and the 10‑count sugar donuts ($3.99). With tax, the total came to $35.27.
We started with the wings. I’m normally not a fan of big wings because they can be gummy, but these were cooked really well. My only regret is not asking for extra sauce. The fries were crispy, though they didn’t come seasoned.
The shrimp fried rice was good. I usually don’t try shrimp fried rice from other places because East China is our go‑to, but this one held its own. I do wish the shrimp were bigger and that there were more of them.
The chicken tenders were cooked well—crispy but not too hard—and the fries were the same as the wing plate. The sugar donuts were fresh and delicious. My only personal preference would be powdered sugar instead of granulated, but that’s not a complaint.
I would definitely go back. The customer service from the young woman who took our order was amazing. The food was fresh and hot, the atmosphere was welcoming, the prices were affordable, and the wait time wasn’t bad at all, especially for lunchtime.
I give them a 4 out of 5.
