I recently tried a new food truck called K’Perros, parked at one of the Home Depot locations in Montgomery, Alabama. I had seen them posted several times in a local food‑truck group, and I finally had the chance to go check them out. I waited until after the lunch rush, hoping to avoid long lines, and I was on a mission to do a full review since I’m not often on that side of town. After looking at their menu online, my first impression was that their prices were great, so I decided to try a little bit of everything.
The customer service was the first thing that stood out. I asked a few questions and requested that all my toppings be separated so nothing would get soggy. The young woman taking my order was incredibly kind and didn’t hesitate at all. Many places get irritated with special requests, but she showed none of that. Her attitude alone made the experience pleasant.
I ordered a beef cheeseburger and fries ($10), a Polly sausage ($8), tacos pastor pork and pollo chicken ($4 each), and a fruit cup with only watermelon and Tajín seasoning ($5).
The hamburger and fries were a great start. The burger was really good, and I loved how the tomatoes and toppings were fresh and diced. The bun tasted toasted, which added a nice touch. The fries didn’t have seasoning, but they were crunchy, and I would definitely order that combo again. My only complaint was the amount of onions there were a lot.
The Polly sausage surprised me in the best way. A lot of people overcook sausage until it’s tough, but this one was cooked perfectly. It did have cheese and jalapeño inside, which wasn’t listed on the menu. It didn’t bother me, but someone who doesn’t like jalapeños might not enjoy it. The flavor reminded me of the sausage from Sam’s Club, and I would absolutely order it again. I’d also like to try the other sausage option they offer.
The chicken and pork tacos were seasoned well and very moist. Since I asked for toppings on the side, everything stayed fresh. These tacos were mini-sized not your typical street‑taco size so keep that in mind. Honestly, they were so good I wished they were bigger. If you’re thinking about sharing, don’t. There won’t be enough!
The fruit cup only had watermelon that day, so I didn’t get the full experience. The watermelon had a mix of sweet and not‑so‑sweet pieces, but I can’t be too upset since it’s not peak watermelon season yet.
Overall, I would definitely try K’Perros again. The customer service was top‑tier. The sweet young lady even brought my order out to my car, which she didn’t have to do. With service like that, I highly recommend giving them a try. I spent almost $32.00, and between the food and the experience, it was worth it.
