You Identify as a Christian, Yet Your Attitude and The Way You Treat People Suggest Otherwise.

I recall many years ago, I decided to do some volunteer work at a local group near my home. I chose this nonprofit organization because it is recognized as a Christian group that assists families of NICU babies in the hospital. The first meeting came around for new members, so I attended. The majority of the folks there were quite friendly, and everyone was interested in me since I was the new one. There was one lady who I later discovered was the vice president, and she was not very pleasant. As others came around me, being so welcoming, I noticed her standing alone with a frown on her face. She persisted in her unpleasant behavior. I didn't pay much attention at the moment, but I decided not to participate in the organization. I chose not to spend my free time dealing with the mess.

I've noticed that when people display an unpleasant characteristic about themselves, the first thing their acquaintance wants to say is that they are a "Christian." Sir/Ma'am, they were not betraying Christian-like behavior."
I've never understood how people who claim to love a loving God can be so harsh and mean to others for no reason. Growing up in church, I saw that the folks I saw there had very different mindsets outside of church.

I believe in getting to know people for myself; therefore, when someone tries to express to me their opinion on someone, I listen but do not hold it against them. I can only go by how someone treated me or my family, not how they act or treat others.

There are still some wonderful people in this world. I will never forget that.

We all fall short at times, and since we are humans, being kind to others costs nothing.

I've never understood how someone could dislike someone or be so disgruntled with a stranger solely based on how they look on the outside. You cannot use only a portion of the Bible to live the lifestyle you choose. It does not operate like that.

What kind of example do we set for children when we act hypocritically? Many parents fail to recognize that children are like sponges. They watch everything we do, including how we treat others.

Consider what Jesus would say. Some people may be blinded by their own beliefs about what is right and wrong. They may be quick to praise themselves but mistreat those close to them, putting on a show for outsiders but treating those close to them as trash. This is not Christian behavior.

Putting a smile on your face and being kind to others will not cost you a dime, and treating others the way you want to be treated is priceless. Love is the most beautiful free present you can give someone.

It's easy to forget that even a simple unfriendly gesture can be offensive or harmful to someone. Giving free food to your employees rather than throwing it away and threatening to fire them if they take it without payment seems disgusting to me. Despite the fact that the company claims to be dedicated to Christian values, you mistreat your employees.

God is love; it goes without saying that He wants us to be kind to everyone, regardless of your faith.
