I have had a total of forty-eight surgical procedures. I have also suffered a heart attack, during one of my operations. For 3 months I could only breathe 5% on my own ,but by the grace of God, I’m still here today to tell my story. People constantly tell me that God gave me the heart of a lion and the strength of a warrior. Honestly, sometimes I think about my life, and wonder how did I manage to overcome something so difficult.
When I went back to school in February of 2017, I was ashamed of not having my leg. I was so far behind, so I went to school until 11 and finished the rest of the day doing home school. Since, I had many health issues, I had missed a lot of school, and I was afraid I wouldn't graduate on time. With the encouragement from my peers at school and family, I graduated, and I also received an electrical and health science trade. In September of 2017, after waiting a whole year, I finally got my prosthetic. The reason, I had to wait so long was because my scar tissue in my leg was damaged, which would cause my leg to stay swollen a lot. God has a way of changing people and making you learn to accept life challenges.
