Thanks to my models!

The long nights and long days were worth it.  As you watched your child walk across the stage, to reach a very important milestone, there was no feeling like it.

The child that you once held in your arms, read stories to, and comforted when he/she wasn’t feeling well, has grown into an amazing young man or woman.

The journey I’m sure had its ups and downs, disappointments, and heartbreak, but what goals doesn’t? Regardless of if you are married or a single parent the role of parenthood is trying, but so rewarding.

The constant staying on them, encouragement, and sometimes just holding them to console them from a bad grade or heartbreak was not in vain. You stood in the gap of lost friends along the way and family members that never showed up. You constantly reminded them how you love them even when they felt like you were hard on them.

There were days I’m sure, they were so hurt, and you couldn’t find the words to say, but you stood in silence and let your presence speak.

Parents, you did it!! I’m sure the journey wasn’t always easy dealing with some difficult teachers and staff members, teenage drama, and making important decisions, but no matter what came you, the prayers and your unconditional love filled the gaps.

There were many people that downplayed this accomplishment or family members that didn’t acknowledge this achievement. Parents pat yourself and your child on the back because you all made it!

Celebrate as loud as you want and as much that’s your child and there is no limit of how proud you can be.  You all made it!! Unfortunately, some people didn’t reach this milestone, but parents, you and your babies did. Celebrate you too!!

God is Good!! All the time!!
